The 2011 Grove City College Business Plan Competition

The Annual Business Plan Competition is coordinated by The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The competition provides an opportunity for all Grove City College students to learn the importance of developing a solid business plan, identifying strategies and risks and how to present their plan to potential investors.

Student business plans are reviewed by alumni and friends of the College who provide written comments, which are returned to the teams. From these reviews, Social Enterprise and Commercial Enterprise finalist teams are chosen to present their plans to a panel of judges in a public forum. Judges select winners for the first, second and third-place prizes (prize amounts will be forthcoming).   First place winners will also receive free legal and accounting consultations.  Awards are presented at the Parents' Day Award Ceremony on Saturday, April 30.  The names of this year's recipients will join past winning teams on a permanent display plaque located on the third floor of the Hall of Arts and Letters.

April 1 | 5:00 pm  Final Business Plans submitted in PDF form

April 1 | 5:00 pm  signed Submission Statements due 

April 13 | 5:00 pm  Finalists notified and begin preparing hard copies of their plans

April 13 | 4:30 pm  Finalists' information meeting ~ HAL 314

April 16 | 5:00 pm  Written plans (hard copies) due to Mrs. Stillwaggon

April 26 |    Deadline for announcement of Finalists' presentation schedule.

April 29 | 9:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 noon ~ Social Enterprise Presentations 

              1:00 p.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. ~ Commercial Enterprises Presentations ~ Sticht Auditorium
